Tracey Merrell

Secretary

Attorney Tracey L. Merrell began her career in high volume post-foreclosure evictions representing mortgage lenders in all 58 California counties. As post-foreclosure evictions slowed, she transitioned to individual owner and multi-family residential litigation.

She is familiar with all aspects of litigation from pre-trial strategy, discovery, motion practice, and trial including bench and jury. She utilized her knowledge of the landlord-tenant process as an editor of periodicals, including the CEB Evictions Guide and the Landlord Tenant Practice Guide published by Continuing Education of the Bar.

Before joining the Law Office of Ada Cordero-Sacks she was the Managing Partner of Education for the law firm Kimball, Tirey & St John, training both clients and fellow attorneys on legal compliance for both state and local laws throughout California. She has been a sought-after speaker on landlord-tenant law, local rent control, fair housing, and legislative updates.

Merrell graduated magna cum laude from CSUN with dual B.A. degrees in both Deaf Studies and Political Science. She earned both her law degree and Certificate on International and Comparative Law from DePaul University College of Law. She was admitted to the California Bar in 2009 and federal District Court for the Central, Northern, Eastern & Southern Districts of California in 2010.

She is fluent in American Sign Language.
