Jan Leasure is the Owner and Managing Broker for Monterey Bay Property Management and Monterey Bay Vacation Rentals, established in 1986. These two companies are dedicated to providing creative property management, with the mission “to make being a landlord rewarding, to make being a tenant a pleasure, and to have fun doing both!” Jan worked in real estate sales for six years prior to dedicating herself solely to the property management business. Currently the Equal Opportunity Committee Chairperson for the Monterey County Association of Realtors, Jan instructs new real estate licensees in the areas of fair housing. As the President of the Monterey County Vacation Rental Alliance, she has worked closely with the jurisdictions in Monterey County to develop ordinances to regulate short-term rentals. She is a founding member and the past President of the Monterey Bay Chapter of NARPM. Jan regularly provides seminars and workshops on property management and other business topics, and she works as an expert witness in landlord-tenant cases.
