He has been involved in real estate since 2002 and still personally owns over 30 homes while his company, Empire Industries, currently manages over 600 properties.
On top of that, Steve makes time to regularly fly for a major airline (mostly international routes on the Boeing 787).
Joe Sidebothiam is the Sales Onboarding Manager at AppFolio, Inc., where he trains all new sales hires. His areas of expertise include AppFolio product knowledge, competitive sales methodology, and property management work flows.
Joe worked with AppFolio leadership in 2013 to implement a Sales Development Representative (SDR) program designed for outreach to property managers. He also sold at AppFolio achieving the distinction of top sales rep for back to back years and attaining #1 Sales Rep in 2015.
Having studied Psychology at Westmont College, Joe loves working with people to encourage positive change and brings an acute mind, infectious energy, and tireless work ethic to all his endeavors.
Tom Sedlack MPM®, RMP® is the General Manager and Co-Owner of 33rd Company, Inc. which is a CRMC® Certified Company operating in 4 States. Tom is a graduate of the US Naval Academy and former Navy Pilot. He is an MBA Honor Graduate from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management, and is also a member of the Real Estate Property Management Curriculum Advisory Board Member for the University of Wisconsin Stout. He currently serves on the NARPM® Finance Committee, and is a designated NARPM instructor.
Jordan Muela is LeadSimple’s CEO and resident marketing expert. He’s the author of The Smart Property Managers Sales Course and has been helping property managers generate owner leads since 2008.

As a Certified Professional Coach she takes a practical and experienced approach to helping her clients manage and grow their businesses or to just get a life.
Kathleen, MPM®/RMP®, has served on state and local boards for NARPM® and has extensive speaking/presentation experience. She authored Property Management A-Z in 2015 and has been teaching on the subject at Cabrillo Community College for the last decade.
Alex’s professional mission in life is to help small businesses grow and thrive. He is the President and CEO of Fourandhalf.com and is serving his 5th year on the Board of Directors for CALNARPM. After spending 9 years in the trenches with his property management clients, Alex draws on his experience to host “The Property Management Show” Podcast and co-authors a weekly Property Management Blog on Fourandhalf.com. Alex has extensive experience speaking for various NARPM events at the local, state, regional and national level.
Ronald Novotny is of Counsel in the Cerritos office. Mr. Novotny has been representing employers in labor and employment matters in federal and state courts and administrative agencies in California since 1981. He has extensive experience involving union and employer unfair labor practices, collective bargaining negotiations, arbitrations under union contracts, and wrongful discharge and discrimination claims. Mr. Novotny also has experience in defending wage and hour law and class action claims, and routinely advises employers on compliance with state and federal disability discrimination, workplace harassment, and employee leave laws.
Mr. Novotny received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and his Juris Doctor from Hastings College of the Law.
Amber Healy has extensive experience litigating class actions and complex matters in California state and federal courts. Her practice focuses on the defense of employers and management in class action, multi-plaintiff and single-plaintiff lawsuits. She has particular expertise in the area of wage and hour class actions. Ms. Healy has argued novel issues before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the California Court of Appeal relating to class actions and representative action under the Labor Code’s Private Attorneys General Act. Ms. Healy has regularly defends employers in claims of wrongful termination, retaliation, whistleblower, discrimination, harassment and prevailing wage issues.
Ms. Healy received her Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she obtained Provost’s Honors. She received her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School.
Shawn Bankson is an attorney at the law offices of Kimball, Tirey & St. John LLP in the Fair Housing Practice Group. He specializes in fair housing, landlord/tenant law and unlawful detainer actions. Additionally, he is a frequent trainer for many associations and management companies throughout the state of California in the areas of fair housing and landlord/tenant law.
Puneet Singh has been practicing real estate and business law in California for over 14years. She is the managing partner for the Northern California offices of Kimball, Tirey & St. John LLP where she oversees all landlord-tenant and post foreclosure related issues. Ms. Singh advises, counsels and represents owners, management companies and institutions in unlawful detainer actions, landlord-tenant litigation and transactional matters. Ms. Singh sits on the board of directors for numerous local real estate associations. She regularly provides legal seminars in the state of California and throughout the country. Ms. Singh and her law firm have both been recognized and received numerous awards for their significant contributions within the real estate industry.
Chrysztyna started in the property management business in 2002, literally at the bottom, cleaning rentals for Lighthouse Cove Property Management. In 2006, she started working in the front office as a receptionist/assistant property manager while she studied for her real estate exam. She passed her exam in March of 2007, and proceeded to buy Lighthouse Cove in July of that year. Two years to the day after she purchased Lighthouse Cove, she bought the property management book of business from another company. Today, almost 10 years later, Lighthouse Cove manages over 400 properties throughout Kitsap County in Western Washington State. Her office is set up as a portfolio/departmental hybrid and she has 5 full-time employees.
Chrysztyna earned the RMP designation at the 2010 NARPM National Convention in Seattle, and achieved her MPM designation in 2012 in San Diego. She was the recipient of the Kitsap Peninsula Business Journal’s 2010 “40 Under 40” award, has received the key to the City of Bremerton, has been president of her local chapter twice, and was the National Professional Development Committee chair in 2014.
She chaired the 2015 NARPM Owner/Broker retreat in Las Vegas, as well as the 2015 NW Regional Conference and has been a NARPM Designations Mentor for the last three years. She is a Certified Real Estate Instructor in the state of Washington as well as the state of Arizona, and can also be found throughout the year traveling the country, visiting various NARPM chapters as a sought after speaker.
